Universal Bur Blocks
SS White is proud to introduce a line of Universal Bur Blocks available in six distinctive colors. These hard anodized, autoclavable, aluminum bur blocks provide a simple solution to the organization of dental rotary instrumentation including carbide burs, diamond instruments and polishers.
Your dentist customers can now organize their clinical set-ups by procedure simply by having their staff load “procedure-specific” instruments into “color-specific” blocks. Each Universal Block will hold up to 20 friction-grip and 10 right-angle (latch-type) carbide burs, diamond instruments and polishers. These blocks can accommodate a full range of shank lengths including surgical length and short shank instruments.

SS White Expands Trimming & Finishing Bur Line
SS White introduces a full line of Posterior Composite and Crown Margin Refinement trimming & finishing burs, manufactured in both 12 and 20 blade configurations. The Posterior Composite burs are ideal for contouring and pre-polishing all posterior composite restorations. The 12 blade burs are engineered to finish and contour composite restorations directly after placement. Anatomical features such as grooves, pits and fissures can be easily placed into the composite restoration with this set of finishing burs. They create a seamless transition from composite to natural tooth at the margins of the restoration. The 20 blade configuration is used to pre-polish the surface of the composite placement by removing any striations or scratches, and they blend the cavosurface margin to a natural seamless form. These burs are non-invasive and create an ultra-smooth surface on all composite materials, ideal for final polishing. The SS White two step method of composite finishing is ideal for use with all of today’s dental composite material and is more efficient than the standard three step system currently employed.
The Crown Margin Refinement burs are ideal for refining margins that are often left rough after using coarse diamonds during the bulk reduction phase of crown preparations. Available in 12 and 20 blades, this set of burs will meet the needs for both PFM and all-ceramic crown restoration margin refinement. These burs are also ideal for use in orthodontic cement removal, as well as finishing and pre-polishing composite resin restorations.

Lakewood, New Jersey. June 1, 2008 - Everyday, dental practitioners face the frustration of trying to cut through Zirconia
crowns and copings. It's no secret that standard diamonds and even specialized rotary cutting instruments are simply ineffective
at penetrating Zirconia in its sintered state. That's why SS White Burs, Inc., the industry leader in the manufacture of dental burs,
has developed the Great White® Z Diamond instrument, singularly designed to easily cut through Zirconia crowns and substructures.
Zirconia is gaining increasing popularity as a crown restorative material because of its superior strength and pleasing esthetics.
Until now, cutting, trimming, or adjusting sintered Zirconia has been an arduous, time-consuming task at best. The uniquely
engineered Great White® Z provides maximum cutting efficiency and effortless access through the tough Zirconia for endodontic
treatment or simply to remove a crown when replacement is necessary. This allows practitioners to work quickly and efficiently,
while offering patients a more positive treatment experience.
The Great White® Z Diamond Kit contains 4 shapes in a convenient autoclavable bur block: 2 sizes of round diamonds for use in
endodontic access; 1 round end taper diamond for slot crown removal technique; and 1 football-shaped diamond for adjustment
procedures. Also available in 5-pack refills.
SS White® Burs, Inc., the recognized industry leader in the manufacture of both carbide burs and diamond instruments,
is committed to research and the continued advancement of materials science to bring innovative dental products, dental procedures
and dental lab products to the marketplace. To learn more about the Great White Z or the full line of Great White carbide burs,

SS White® is proud to introduce the new, improved Piranha® Single-Patient-Use Diamond.
SS White has expanded the line to include over 500 shapes, sizes and grits - the broadest single-patient-use
diamond line available. We are proud to report that in an independent study Piranha cut as fast as the
leading competitors - and in many cases at a fraction of the price. Our new convenient 25 individually-packed
diamonds, in a self-dispensing carton, make Piranha as easy to dispense as it is to use. We have, also,
included the SSW logo on each bur for easy recognition.
SS White® has also added a turbo diamond to the Piranha line - Piranha 2XTM.
Piranha 2XTM boasts a patented double-helix designed channel which effectively
flushes debris and reduces clogging. Piranha 2XTM cut significantly cooler
than the competitive diamonds and competitive turbo diamonds in independent testing.
This is important in the bulk reduction required for crown preps. Piranha 2X turbo diamonds
are available in medium grit for a smooth finish.

SS White® introduces a unique carbide bur that offers a fast and smooth cutting alternative to
diamonds for crown and bridge preparations. Specifically designed for crown preparations,
Great White® Ultra operates in a different way than a diamond due to its special blade design and
carbide construction. Its unique dentated design cuts superbly, especially through mixed substrates
including existing amalgam and composite restorations. Unlike many diamonds, which can require multiple
instruments to complete a crown preparation, the Great White® Ultra bur allows you to complete
the bulk reduction task and the placement of a smooth margin with a single instrument. It also clogs
less, due to its unique design. The Great White® Ultra blade geometry results in a fast and
smooth cutting instrument. Available in popular crown and bridge preparation shapes and sizes,
Great White® Ultra is the ultimate alternative to diamonds for crown preparation. For further
information call SS White Burs Inc. at 1-800-535-2877.
